Cultural Planning

Nordicity has in-depth knowledge of cultural sector dynamics at the city level – including cross-cultural municipal/local planning processes, and the diverse range of key stakeholders. Nordicity develops recommendations that align with existing local plans and are tailored specifically to the community. Moreover, we understand the challenges that can arise when uniting stakeholders behind what are often broad-ranging cultural planning goals.

To be effective, cultural planning must work at both the community and institutional levels. We use relationships, partnerships, and networks to support implementation, integrate cultural objectives across municipal/local planning departments, identify barriers to participation, ensure equitable access to process and results, and connect economic and cultural development through digital platforms and collaborative initiatives.
