On March 19, 2019, Nordicity consulting team presented the report: 'Econometric Analysis for the ICT sector and Creative Industries in Suriname' to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism (MTIT) and stakeholders. This presentation included the key findings, methodological challenges in data collection and analysis and future enhancements.
For this project, Nordicity developed an econometric model based on primary and secondary research to define and capture data on the key players, including production activity, revenue, employment, etc. Nordicity then conducted econometric analysis on Suriname’s ICT and Creative industries and built a economic impact model which can be updated on a periodic basis. We also provided suggestions for the development of the data base, the regulatory framework, a program evaluation model, etc. Throughout the one year project period, Nordicity provided knowledge transfer including 3 successful workshops with the stakeholders.
The Nordicity team was comprised of Stuart Jack, Tanveer Ahmed, Reetika Rana and Yue Zhang.
