Nordicity a Proud Associate of Canada’s Digital Technology Supercluster Initiative

Nordicity has been selected to join one of Canada’s five selected Innovation Superclusters. The five ‘clusters’ (spread across Canada) are the result of the $950 million federal Innovation Superclusters Initiative that aims to drive growth, prosperity, jobs and global leadership through industry driven, collaborative and ambitious projects.

The BC-based (though Canada-wide in focus) Digital Technology Supercluster is focused on digital transformation through business-led collaborative partnerships. Led by aims to facilitate and fund the development of digital products and platforms to transform industries and propel economic growth across Canada, the program has two key focus areas:

  • Technology Leadership: Collaborative projects that directly enhance the productivity, performance and competitiveness of member firms.
  • Capacity-Building: Develop a diverse pool of digital talent to ensure a workforce prepared for the jobs of tomorrow with a focus on improving the inclusion and participation of Indigenous people, underrepresented groups and women.

Currently, Nordicity is focused on Capacity-Building. To do so, we would leverage our unique combination of digital technology sector expertise and more recent work relating to equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. More specifically, Nordicity has decades of experience responding to the evolving needs of the digital technology sector through engagements such as labour market analyses, investment attraction strategies as well as digital strategies for public and private sector clients. At the same time, we have also built expertise in developing equity, diversity and inclusion frameworks at both the industry and municipal level, including several capacity building initiatives.
