Kristian Roberts appointed sole CEO of Nordicity

As a key part of its succession plan, NGL Nordicity Group Ltd (Nordicity) has moved forward on new appointments. Founder and Board Chair, Peter Lyman announced that Kristian Roberts would be assuming CEO position as of Jan. 1, 2024. Previously, he served as co-CEO with Mr. Lyman, who will remain as Nordicity Board Chair and Partner in the consulting practice.

Mr. Roberts has been with the firm since 2007 and has rapidly moved up the ranks with extensive consulting and operating responsibilities. He has been Partner since 2015, and Co-CEO since 2021. “I look forward to the challenges of continuing to grow Nordicity into a recognized global player in the creative industries -- and broader culture sector,” says Roberts. “With the right investment in people, product, and process, the firm’s future is a bright one.”

Mr. Lyman, CEO from the rebirth of Nordicity in 2002, says he is eager to help the firm continue to make that transition. “Kristian has been putting the pieces together for long term, sustainable growth, yet maintaining a “family” environment appealing to a smart, diverse team. I look forward to supporting the expansion of our services here and abroad and strengthening our core values of equity and career development.”

Others on the executive team are Partners Dustin Chodorowicz, located in the London, UK office and Carly Frey, located in the Vancouver office. Joining the executive team is Karen Volterra, who is appointed Chief Financial Officer.

In further corporate moves, Karen and Carly acquired equity in Nordicity, joining Peter, Dustin, and Kristian as shareholders of the company. Together, the management and ownership team serve as a solid foundation for profitable growth in the company on an ethical and sustainable basis.

Overall, it has been a busy start to the year and the firm is excited about the future, anticipating continued growth and new opportunities.
