Nordicity to Collaborate with the City of Nanaimo for Not-for-Profit Sector Study
Nordicity is thrilled to announce its collaboration with the City of Nanaimo on a Not-for-Profit Sector Study. This initiative aligns with the City's vision to create a prosperous, socially just, and environmentally sustainable community, using the "Doughnut Economics" framework as outlined in the City Plan.
With the financial support from Island Coastal Economic Trust and the City, this project aims to provide an analysis of the economic, social, and environmental impacts generated by not-for-profit organizations within Nanaimo. Insights gained from the engagement processes and relevant practices in comparable communities will inform strategies to strengthen and support this growing sector, crucial for improving the overall well-being of the community.
