Julie regularly supports Canada’s creative sector (organizations, municipalities, and industry associations) with strategic plans and digital strategies. She is currently managing a collaborative project to explore the potential for a shared audience analytics platform amongst nearly twenty of Toronto’s leading cultural institutions.
Julie has an extensive marketing and communications background, with assessment, research, and analysis experience in the screen, publishing, and digital media industries. In her free time, Julie also serves as a Strategic Advisor to the media and digital literacy organization Hands On Media Education.
A skilled interviewer, writer and client liaison, she has presented at the CFC’s Building Enterprise Resilience Conference, Digital Media at the Crossroads, Ontario Creates Research Showcases and Ontario Creates Digital Dialogues. Julie is working towards the Anima Inclusive Management Certificate and recently completed OCAD University’s Introduction to Design Thinking course.
Prior to joining Nordicity, Julie worked in the marketing divisions of international publishing houses Penguin, Random House and HarperCollins UK. She has advised entrepreneurial media companies on business planning and growth strategies, partnerships and promotions.
