Women's Day 2026

In reflecting on this past Women’s Day, inspired by the theme “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls,” we chose to contribute in the way we know best: by sharing knowledge, insights, and data. We’re shining a light on the representation of women in arts, culture, and media.

Women artists, cultural leaders, and decision-makers are key drivers across the creative sector, yet despite their talent and tenacity, gender disparities persist.

The following visuals, based on recent studies of women’s representation across the sectors we work in, highlight the gaps that still exist. While progress has been made, these numbers underscore the work the industry must continue to do to achieve true equity. They also highlight the need for ongoing research to keep the sector accountable and to help drive meaningful change.
