Cultural heritage, international development, research and evaluation
Agathe is a researcher and consultant working at the intersection of international development and cultural heritage.
Agathe’s academic research has focused on the design and implementation of evaluation methodologies showcasing the economic, environmental and social impacts of cultural heritage projects on local communities in Latin America. Prior to working with Nordicity, Agathe worked with Aleph Strategies and the University of East Anglia: she has led and collaborated on projects for clients such as UNESCO, the Agence française de développement, Internews, IUCN, Ensemble Contre la Peine de Mort and Transparency International.
Agathe has evaluated projects in the culture sector (tangible and intangible cultural heritage, documentary heritage) as well as the development and humanitarian sectors (anti-corruption work, media development and freedom of expression, abolition of the death penalty, use of research to inform policy, environmental conservation, and Disaster Risk Reduction). She has experience working primarily in Latin America (Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Guatemala), as well as Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Algeria), and East Asia (Japan, Republic of Korea).
