Agathe Dupeyron

I’m driven to understand how people connect with culture – and how those connections can shape a better future.
Agathe builds on her research skills and professional experience in the global development and heritage sectors to demonstrate culture’s transformative power.
Agathe is an expert evaluator who also leads project management, policy development and capacity-building initiatives. While Agathe collaborates primarily with the cultural sector, she has also worked on broader development and humanitarian challenges such as anti-corruption, media development and freedom of expression, abolition of the death penalty, research-informed policy, environmental conservation, and disaster risk reduction.
As a multilingual researcher, she has had opportunity to live and work in Latin America (Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Guatemala), Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Algeria, Namibia), and East Asia (Japan, Republic of Korea). She holds a PhD in International Development from the University of East Anglia, a Master of Public Archaeology from University College London, and a BA in Archaeology and Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.
Before joining Nordicity, Agathe’s work focused on designing and implementing evaluation methodologies to assess the economic, environmental, and social impacts of archaeological projects on local communities in Latin America, as well as managing evaluation and research projects internationally.
Agathe is passionate about understanding people and how they relate to the world through culture. She is happiest when conducting interviews – whether with artists, grassroots activists, or ambassadors – and hearing different perspectives. She is committed to leveraging her research and analytical skills to support changemakers at both the community and global levels.
