It’s easy to do good and meaningful work when you’re passionate about it.

A dynamic and eclectic thinker with a penchant for efficiency, Charlotte leverages her unwavering curiosity and “can-do” attitude to turn empirical insights into strategic, actionable solutions.

Charlotte’s expertise is rooted in the operations of creative industries, with an affinity for the economics, logistics, and far-reaching socio-cultural impacts of video games and interactive digital media. Her research, synthesis, and communication skills are applied across projects ranging from economic impact assessments and ecosystem development to program design, evaluation, and trend reporting for industry interest-holders and governments around the world.

Charlotte came to Nordicity from the academic side of the creative industries, previously working as a graduate researcher and instructor in the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at Western University. Her research focused on the economic logic and design of games-as-a-service business models, and she has also published work on the impacts of video game live-streaming platforms and the possibilities they create.

Innate curiosity and a love of school led Charlotte to earn a DEC in International Social Sciences from CÉGEP Champlain–St. Lawrence, a joint honours BSocSc in Communication and Sociology (summa cum laude) from the University of Ottawa, an MA in Media Studies from Western University, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Marketing Management from Fanshawe College.

Charlotte was partway through a PhD program when she realized that she didn’t want to study games from afar – she wanted to work directly with corporate leaders, industry associations, and developers to understand and solve key challenges. Her work at Nordicity allows her to collaborate with and learn from people across the international video games ecosystem, while drawing on experiences in adjacent creative industries such as film and television production.
