Economic Impact Assessments

Nordicity was engaged by Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association to conduct an economic impact assessment of the Canadian wireless industry, of which the resulting report was intented to support the client’s goverment relations efforts.

This study provides an up to date Economic Profile of the Animation/VFX industry and compares results with past reports in order to ascertain how the industry is growing, particularly as a vital source of employment and creative innovation in Ontario.

Film Distributors’ Association (FDA) commissioned Saffery Champness and Nordicity to prepare the following report on the economic impact of the film distribution sector in the UK. The report provides the first-ever estimate of the film distribution sector’s contribution to the UK economy in terms of employment, GVA and tax revenue.

Nordicity was commissioned by the ESAC to conduct a profile of the games industry in Canada, an economic impact analysis of the games industry on the Canadian economy, an assessment of the impact of tax credits, and an evaluation of the perceptions of the ESAC in the Canadian games industry.

Since 1996, Nordicity produced an annual comprehensive compilation of economic statistics on the screen-based production industry in Canada, including film, television and digital media production.

In partnership with Olsberg•SPI, Nordicity was retained to produce a key study on the economic, cultural and audience contributions of the UK’s film, high-end TV, animation and video games industries.
