Brian Christensen

Brian is a dedicated and interdisciplinary researcher with experience in government and politics and in the performing arts.

Prior to joining Nordicity, Brian was most recently a senior advisor to a member of Edmonton City Council where he worked on municipal issues including economic development, agency oversight, and rezoning and development. He is currently working toward a Master’s of Arts in Communication and Culture at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) researching the intersection of municipal land use policy and performing arts venues and providing teaching support for undergraduate creative industries courses. Brian also draws upon over a decade of work in the performing arts as a musician, stage actor and composer to augment his perspectives on the creative and cultural industries.
